Kanuffs are very strange creatures. They are very funny and lovable. They also take time to grow, eat, sleep and create an eternal mess around them. And as they enter your life, you forget how it used to look like before they appeared…

My name is Nataliya and this is blog is all about my life with the little kanuffs. During the first pregnancy, as we had no idea whom we were getting, a boy or a girl, we had to invent the way of talking about the baby without calling him or her “it.” My German speaking friend suggested a very simple name “Kanuff.” It stayed with us for years.

Today we have Kanuff I – or A. in this blog – an almost 5 years old lady of the house and Kanuff II – or D. – a growing superhero, who will soon turn 4.

We are a trilingual family (English- Russian-Danish) living in Denmark. And this blog is my way to keep the memories, impressions and fascinations of things, which we happen to experience as a family.

Since this is going to be a very random blog, here are five random things I like: good coffee in a good company, singing children’s songs in whatever language I can think of, go for endless walks to think ideas through, coffee and more coffee.

Five random things A. likes: swinging, ponies, beads, dusting and listening to stories.

Five random things D. likes: Hulk, Winnie the Pooh, taking pictures, telling stories and drinking chocolate milk.
